Gamete cilia video.  Gamete cilia refer to the hair-like projections found on the surface of gamete cells, such as sperm and eggs, in animals. These cilia are responsible for propelling the gamete cells toward the egg during fertilization. The movement of the cilia generates fluid flow, which propels the gamete cell forward. In sperm cells, the movement of the cilia is vital for the sperm's ability to reach and fertilize the egg. Similarly, in eggs, the cilia play a role in guiding the sperm toward the egg for fertilization.
